2010 has been a great year for WAPC, in fact, it was our first official year as an established 501c3 organization. We are very blessed to have the support of volunteers, donors, advocates and partners like you. You’ve helped us:
- Host our First Annual WAPC Advocacy Day
- Expand to three chapters
- Create an intimacy fact sheet and a treatment guide
- Share the stories of women who have been impacted by prostate cancer
- And much more!
BUT there is still a lot of work to be done. 1 in 6 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, that’s 1 man every 19 minutes! This year alone, over 32,000 families will lose their husbands, partners, fathers, sons, friends and loved ones to this dreadful disease. These statistics are daunting, and women play an essential role in the prevention and early detection, research advocacy, and support and caregiving for the prostate cancer patients that they love. Help us change these statistics.
You can help make 2011 the year that we make an even bigger splash. Consider making a donation toward the fight against prostate cancer by joining the 1-in-6 club today and inviting your friends, family and loved ones to do the same.
For a small donation of just $6, $16, or $60 a month for the next year you will help expand WAPC’s efforts to make a difference in the lives of women effected by Prostate Cancer. Or click here to make a one-time donation.
Thank you again for all you do for families across the country.
