This is where loved ones, support groups and correct educational materials are so very key! It is my experience that we must be patient but firm in asking to be allowed in if indeed there is a "tough" guy who does not want to worry you and wants to do this alone...Believe it or not there are, but remind him, it is a "we" thing not a "you" thing! Be patient, be strong and do by all means be "curious". Ask and you will have an answer!
